This design was the result of a conversation with our client where we played around with ideas for a while and in the end she said “I guess I mean to say that if you think of something interesting or creative … I bet I’d be open to it.” Open briefs like this are always fun because we get a chance to try new shapes, in this case the full circle E8 tile. This is the first time we had a chance to explore its potential. Combined with the larger unfinished circular shapes created by our SR1 and L01 tiles, the result is a design with a Bauhaus feel but a more organic structure. It reminds us of Arne Jacobsen furniture or Verner Panton lighting.
